“Hemi” Fred Ristagno passed away on Monday, March 27th.
Hemi Fred owned the original Sox & Martin Duster and was a great friend of mine. We had many match races together over the years up and down the East Coast. Our match races between the Jenkins Monza and S&M Duster brought the nostalgia race fans to their feet! We appeared together at Englishtown Raceway Park, Z-MAX, ATCO, Virginia Motor Sports Speedway, Maple Grove, Beaver Springs and many more. Fred was a unique individual and a wealth of knowledge. He would help anyone at anytime.
Pictured is his infamous wheel stand at ATCO, March 2011. Fred will be missed by many, but never forgotten. I look back and laugh about all the good times we had and the wonderful memories.
